Teaching

I am passionate about disseminating information widely to have impact on a broad array of students. Educational materials that I created and maintain have been used in about one hundred classes across two dozen universities. I invite anyone who is interested to look at the set of public educational modules. These cover networking, security, and cloud computing (with materials on operating systems under development / classroom testing). All of the educational modules on this site have been used in at least two classes before being publicly listed.

We have written a few papers about the effectiveness of these educational materials (and others have as well). Educational materials that leverage Seattle are the top ranked resource on the ACM SIGCOMM Educational Resources website.

I am honored to be recognized with the 2016 Jacobs Excellence in Education Award.
